What is Japan Reach?

Japan Reach is a ministry that focuses on outreach to the Japanese people both in Japan and the USA.  Our motto is “Reaching the Japanese people one relationship at a time.”

Why Japan?

Less than 1% of the Japanese people are Christian, making them some of the most unreached people groups in the world. With cultural outreach, English language programs, and technology we reach out and build relationships with our Japanese friends. We do all of this with the purpose of sharing our lives and the love of God all across Japan.

How we do missions?

Japan reach conducts missions trips to Japan, as well as in the USA with Japanese friends. Through partnerships with churches in Japan, we conduct various types of outreach tailored to meet the needs of our church partners.

Additionally, we have a strong program in place to prepare our short-term missions teams for the journey. This curriculum contains cultural, historical, and language components where individuals and teams can work on at their own pace.

Finally, to support our teams, and other ministries who may be interested in Japanese missions, we have published the Japan Reach Missions Manual to help them in their calling.

Where do we go?

Japan Reach mission teams typically concentrate their efforts in the Kansai region (Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe) and Tokushima areas. These areas don’t get nearly as much missionary support as other parts of Japan, and as a result the need is that much greater.
