Do you think it’s okay to DREAM BIG? Can God give you something so big you could not possibly accomplish it on your own? Does God want us completely dependent on Him to work through us? Will He bring others to help make this dream come true? I believe the answers to all these questions is “YES!”
More than Myself
My faith tends to grow more when I know I can’t make this dream happen without God leading the way. As long as my eyes stay focused on Jesus I can see clearly. When I stop focusing on Him I can begin to fill up with anxiety, fear, doubt, and inability. I have to remember the dream is not about myself anyway. It far exceeds me. It’s about what God wants to accomplish through me and others. It is for His glory not my own. The world is His and everything in it belongs to Him.
The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. Psalm 24:1
Dependent on God
When I think of a person dependent on God, I think of someone who prays. A person who sees the dream, but desires Jesus more than everything else. Someone who knows the mountains move when they pray. A person so full of God that living waters flow out of them. I am always drawn to someone who has a prayer life and lives dependent on Him. They are my heroes. This is how I desire to live each day as I dream big.
Sharing the Dream
God has placed a dream in my heart and the Japan Reach team. This dream is to share the love of Jesus with the Japanese people and whoever else God brings across our path. Certainly the greatest need we all have is Jesus. If it wasn’t for Jesus I could never be free from myself or the guilt of my sin. We all have sinned and fallen short of living a pure and holy life. Jesus stood in our place of punishment so we could be free to live without punishment, guilt, shame, and dishonor. He sacrificed His life for me and for everyone else in this world. The biggest dream we could ever have is to share about the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This life is definitely short and eternity is without a doubt forever.
Knowing Jesus
Nothing in this life will ever be more fulfilling than knowing Jesus and experiencing His grace, mercy, love and forgiveness. He can give you peace and joy that far exceeds the fleeting pleasures of this world.
Greatest High
The other day I was at a prayer meeting at my church. Even though we were very small in numbers God’s presence was there. During the prayer meeting I felt God very close to me. It seemed like He was pouring His love into me so much that if He gave me anymore I was going to burst. God’s presence is so pure and so holy and so magnificent that we can hardly contain it in our fleshly bodies. Above all I desire for everyone to experience the magnitude of God’s love for all His children. It’s the greatest high you will ever experience. ๐
